🠈 Clinton, Utah 🠊
Clinton is a rapidly expanding town in Northern Davis County. It's population in 2000 was 12,585 which grew 58.4% to 20,426 in 2010 and is estimated to be 21,399 in 2015.
Along with its neighbor Clearfield, Clinton is a naturally dry ridge and was considered a part of Layton and not well developed before the construction of canals.
Clinton had a train stop in 1881. LDS Settlers established the Summit Basin Branch in 1884 and the Clinton Ward in 1897. The area was incorporated as a city in 1936.
Clinton began expanding during World War II with the construction of Hill Air Force Base.
