Farmington, Utah was settled in 1847 by Mormon Pioneers with the name North Cottonwood. Due to its central location in Davis County, The Utah Territorial Legislature chose the area as the county seat and renamed the town to Farmington.
The 2010 population of Farming was 18,275 and is estimated to have grown over 22,000 by 2014. The town's zip code is 84025.
